On Thursday night the insomniacs emerge and arrive here for too much sarcasm, a lot of cookies and tea, worship, feasting in the Word, and prayer.

Phoebe Is Fashion
Our own southern bell Phoebe is in good spirits tonight in her summer wardrobe and pink high heels. She knows that she is not a "little girl" when she is dudded up like this.

The Guards Keep The Night Alive
We decided to storm the "Tin Roof" out back and jamb out with the Guards. We are havin' some fun and of course we are dancing.
Rusty At The Red Cup
Haven't seen Rusty in while. He and I used to co-manage a zoo at Classen and Reno. He now enjoys intelegent conversation with elderly beatniks at the Red Cup.
Tearin' It Up On A Saturday Night
A whole herd of us are out tonight at the Red Cup. It's the Red Cup's 12th year tonight and we're having an extravaganza. Ode to the Red Cup. We come here on most Saturday nights to enjoy good coffee, live music, competitive spades, and most of all the savy conversation that never ends.

Jamie Smiling
There's not enough money to be made during a day of a work to replace the smiling face of my Jamie.

Stewart The Oxen & The Ditch
Stewart sacrifices his Sabath rest to help the Deasons "pull our ox out of the ditch". We had a weekend warrior lose a plumbing battle in our bathroom & left us without water on in the house. I went to Stewart for advise on my way to Home Depot and he advised me to follow him to our house so that he could fix it. This is no small project either. Thank you Stewart.
Lunch With The Malthaners
Today we ate lunch with the Multhaner's & spent the majority of the afternoon theorizing with Carla over a question concerning Lobster Sauce. "What is Lobster Sauce" said Carla. Kent thoughtfuly considers the question and responds by saying..."A sauce that tastes like lobster"

The Gypsie's Hostile Braums Take Over
The Deason's along with Jeff, Jamie, & Paul set up base camp in Braums as we relax to enjoy an ice cream feast. We bought a 1/2 Gallon of Chocolate Chip, a 1/2 Gallon of Choclate Milk, & a tray of Fudge Brownies. I will watch as everyone else indulges their unrestrained senses.

Regan & Keri: A Perfect Match

What an astonishing clothing match on these two. An entire audience of friends were even more amazed to find that the matching wardrobe was not intentional. These were some quotes from the evening: "Look they even have white T-Shirts on underneath"...Lauren, "Keri, too bad you weren't wearing Crocks like Regan"...Liz Thursday nights at the Deason's are always such an atmosphere of sharp and intellectual purpose as this.

The Weekend Comes To a Close
I love weekends. I grab all the time with friend and family that I can get my hands on. Sometimes all that we do is relax together. This weekend we were very busy. We are remodeling the house, and even though I have hired a couple of guys to work, I have to assist them with material and direction for the work. So...this weekend we did a lot of running around in between our sweet times of worship and meals together and with friends.

Our House...In the middle of the street
Today the family is getting very excited about our house remodel. We are watching the first signs of progress in a long time.
The Ballad of Kenny D
Today I hope that I can tame the anxiety that is just eating me up. Being responsible for the actions of other people is the most horrendous tasks in life. It becomes even more difficult when you are dependent on the actions of others.
